One Momma's journey of tragic loss, grief, remembrance, love and eventually hope and joy. Thanks to the 500 magical days we had with Peanut on this earth.
About Peanut
Hi. I'm Peanut's Momma. Which makes me uniquely qualified to answer your very important question - Who is Peanut? To answer, let me tell you our brief story.
On September 12, 2009 I gave birth to a perfect, precious little boy - Connor. My Peanut, weighing in at 5 pounds, 1 ounce. He was healthy, strong, intrigued by the world around him, a wise soul. And we had him on this earth for 500 magical days.
On January 26, 2011, at exactly 16.5 months of age, Peanut died without warning or explanation (SUDC). He went to bed on Tuesday, January 25 with a runny nose and a 100-degree fever. We checked on him during the night, but in the morning, he never woke up despite heroic and heart-breaking efforts to resuscitate him.
This blog is all about Peanut. My Peanut My amazing little boy who knew no strangers, gave hugs and grins with loving abandon, and made everyone he touched a better person, in life and beyond. Including, and most especially, me. Peanut's Momma.
This blog is my attempt to balance pain and joy by focusing on Peanut and the amazing impact he has had on this world.
The Peanut Effect.
Peanut, we love you. To the moon and back!
